L’entusiasmo per l’uscita di NBA Jam per Nintendo Wii può essere un pò scemato da quando è stata annunciatsa la mancanza nella suddetta versione di qualsivoglia modalità onlline. Eppure il remake del gioco che tanti anni fa riusciva a catalizzare l’attenzione del grande pubblico resta comunque molto atteso dai fan di vecchia data ed ha ancora i numeri per attrarre a sè nuovi e giovani fan, con la sua azione frenetica ed un look accattivante. L’Electronic Arts ha poi deciso anche di rendere pubblico l’intero roster che sarà presente in NBA Jam.
Ovviamente le squadre sono quelle della NBA, non a caso il gioco si chiama NBA Jam.
I giocatori del gioco d’azione sono tratti dai roster reali e sono tre per team, anche se in campo ce ne andranno solo due per volta.
In alcune squadre, poi, vi sono alcuni giocatori aggiuntivi particolarmente famosi e rappresentativi per il passato del team in cui sono inclusi, sono le cosiddette
leggende.
Tra essi non può che ricordarsi Magic Johnson, presente nei suoi Los Angeles Lakers, mentre fa rumore la mancanza, si spera momentanea, di
Michael Jordan nei
Chicago Bulls, cui hanno preferito Scottie Pippen e Denis Rodman.
